Lloyds Transport makes Premium purchase
Lloyds Transport has renewed part of its existing 35-truck mixed fleet with the purchase of 10 new Renault Premium 450.25 tractor units.
Colin Whorton, director, says: "We trialled demonstrator vehicles from a number of different manufacturers and were impressed by the Renault Premium's latest technology and gearbox, as well as the good fuel returns."
He adds that another factor in opting for Renault was the "excellent customer service" the firm received from Renault Trucks Midlands.
The company may also be increasing the size of its fleet before long. Whorton says: "We would certainly consider adding more Renault vehicles and are currently trialling a Renault Magnum.
"At the moment we spot-hire in extra tractor units when we need, but we are looking to make further additions in the near future."
