Honda UK Manufacturing (HUM) has awarded Ceva Logistics a three-year contract to transport parts from around Europe to its production plant in Swindon.

As part of the agreement, Antwerp-based CEVA Ground Europe will manage the collection of parts from suppliers at more than 40 sites around Europe.

A spokesman for HUM says: "CEVA was awarded the contract due to its experience, resources, open minded approach and, of course, cost competitiveness".

Wouter Coppens, CEVA Ground Europe managing director, adds: "We are confident that CEVA Ground has the expertise, scope and IT infrastructure to provide HUM with a responsive supply chain solution."
