George Killoughery buys 20 Renault Kerax trucks
Essex-based construction and haulage company George Killoughery has taken delivery of 20 Euro-5 Renault Kerax trucks.
Two of the trucks, bought through Renault Trucks Essex, are 6x4, heavy-haul 450.25s and the remainder are Renault Kerax 370.32s. They will be used to transport muckaway, crushed concrete, sand, ballast and topsoil.
Paul Killoughery, co-owner of George Killoughery, says that in the current economic climate fuel efficiency is an important consideration when replacing older vehicles in the fleet.
"The automated gearbox means the Renault Kerax is more efficient to run and we have already seen fuel savings. It is also a hardworking, reliable and robust truck with excellent ground clearance and, with the Euro-5 specification, we see the new vehicles as a good long-term investment," he adds.
