O' Licence Pack Guidance

This page contains more information regarding the Operator Licence Pack page, specifically the rules and criteria applied to the documents before posting vehicle information on the web and the different sections in which they can be found.

The vehicle documentation is held in 3 folders, Legal, Maintenance and, where applicable, Ancillary.

The Legal folders should contain an MOT, VTG7, Tachograph Calibration and Tachograph check and Reduced Pollution Certificate where applicable.

The Maintenance folder should contain routine vehicle service documents, whether inspections, basics or annual services.

The Ancillary folder should contain all documents related to external equipment to the vehicle, such as crane and tail lift services, weight tests and any maintenance carried out on fridges.

Tachograph Calibration Certificate

A tachograph calibration is required for all vehicles at 7.5 tonnes and above. The dates highlighted on the website refer to the expiry date of the Tachograph Calibration, please note for those without a calibration certificate the following rules apply:

The Tachograph for this vehicle was calibrated from new at the factory. A tacho calibration certificate is not issued in these circumstances. A certificate will be included at the next 2 year check or if a repair is required.

V5 Registration Document

Please note that these documents are not available on the web, should you require more information please contact the Technical Ops Group on 08705 325 325.

VTG7

Please note that it takes several weeks for the DVLA to issue the VTG6 and VTG7 plates for a brand new vehicle. As soon as we receive the VTG7 it will be displayed on the website. The VTG6 will be sent straight out to be placed in the cab of the vehicle concerned.

In the meantime, there should be a 'Type Approval' certificate in the cab of the vehicle. If you need to obtain a further copy of this document then please contact the Technical Ops Group on 08705 325 325.
